Sopravvivere all’Antropocene: dialoghi sull’estinzione e l’emergenza

Intervento e workshop con Roberta Buiani

[smartslider3 slider=”anthropocene”]

After a daring journey from Toronto, Roberta Buiani’s second meeting on the unknowns of the anthropocene took happily place at the Academy of Fine Arts in Foggia, hosted in Professor Domenico Dattoli’s Techniques and Graphics Technologies course. Between scenarios, adaptive strategies and artistic interpretations, Roberta, fellow researcher at the University of Toronto, has effectively demonstrated the reciprocal exchanges between the semiotics of research through a fertile recombination of the specific lexicons, to hypotheses and sometimes strongly evocative. Supported by data and scientific illustration, she explained the basics of the etherotopic explorations of artists such as Cole Swanson and Stefan Herda, thus spotting the incessant dialogue between Science and Art. Something which the students responded with their own rendition and their vision of the future without ever transcending by a “a priori” rejection of the unknowns which this era of climate change poses to the permanence of the human species on planet Earth.
